During the last few months, our Trubeach crew have been joining volunteers from the Surfrider Foundation to help clean up beaches and other locations around the Pacific Northwest.
TruBeach Go Fund Me Page
TruBeach is looking to expand and improve our database, options, and availability. This is in response to the requests and feedback we have received from users. With that in mind, we have created a Go Fund Me page. Here is what we are looking to accomplish:
- TruBeach is currently available for IOS in the App Store. We would like to develop an android version to increase our reach.
- We have over 750 North American beaches currently in our database and are trying to expand our library and community reach globally.
- We would like to include new features in the App which have been identified as useful by ocean conservation groups.
Please contribute any amount if you are able. Contributions of $50 or more receive a free TruBeach t-shirt. Thanks so much for helping. Together we can make a difference.
Happy World Oceans Day
Today is World Oceans Day. Get out there and enjoy the ocean, hit the beach, or join in a beach cleanup. Check out some of the local chapters of various ocean protection organizations like Surfrider, or the Ocean Conservancy. By acting responsibly you will influence others to reconsider their day to day actions and behavior. Keep spreading the word, and posting current beach conditions. Together we can make a difference.
TruBeach expanding to include Mexico
TruBeach is beginning to add beaches in Mexico to our database! If you have a favorite beach, or know of one that needs help, please download the App and send us the name and location of the beach. We will add it to the App and together we can raise awareness, and turn the tide on plastic pollution. Thank you.
TruBeach Looks to help Environmental Organizations
TruBeach is based on community. It's the very foundation of our App, and it's the reason that TruBeach can work. We see communities all around us banding together to try and help turn the tide on ocean pollution. More and more beach cleanups are being organized around the world as we begin to become more aware of the devastating scope of the the problem, and do our best to join our neighbours to try and make a difference.
TruBeach is a tool that can be employed to raise awareness of the current conditions of beaches, as well as review and share those conditions with the community. If you are part of an organization, and you would like to employ TruBeach as one of your communication tools, please go right ahead...it's FREE. You can find it in the App Store, or click the Download button on our website.
If you have beaches that you would like to add to our list. You can submit them in the App. You can also join the TruBeach Facebook group if you would like to post your experiences or share an upcoming beach cleanup event.
